Kristen Asel Smith Obituary

With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Kristen Asel Smith of Leawood, Kansas, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 11, 2025 at the age of 72. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Norman Asel and Frances S. Asel. She is survived by: her husband Don Smith; her siblings, Joann Rea (John) of Evanston and Don Asel (Jodie) of Columbia; her nieces, Jennifer Verhaggen of The Hague, Anne Reyneart of Chicago, Ashley Asel of Webster Groves, Toby Dible of Rogers and Mackenzie Nobis of Madison; and her nephew David Rea of Chicago, Illinois..

A memorial service was held on Friday, February 21st 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Johnson County Funeral Chapel (11200 Metcalf Ave, Overland Park, KS 66210).
