He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Gittemeier and Lillian Gittemeier (Graver); his former wife Kathy Gittemeier (Costello); and his siblings, Bob Gittemeier (Delores), Richard Gittemeier (Betty), Marilyn Hubbard (Jim) and Dorothy Bosse (Dick).
He is survived by: his wife Rosemary Wayne; his children, Elizabeth Crawford (Clay), Joey Gittemeier, Ellen Clune (Peter), Kevin Gittemeier (Jodie) and Maureen Lindstrom (Nate); and his grandchildren, Bailey Kate, Brooks, Kevin, Sawyer Crawford, Jessie, Jake, Nick Gittemeier, Lily, Amelia, Chloe Clune, Mary Jane, Laura, Ella, Harry, Maggie, Georgia Gittemeier, Sadie and Hudson Lindstrom.
