He was loved and cherished by many people including: his father Joseph Hermes; his brothers, Lawrence Byron Sharpe and Jerome Hermes (Jerry); his wife Maria Cristina Scagliotti Hermes; his children, Anne Marie Hunter, Dalton Hermes, Michele Hermes, Gretchen Hermes, Gilbert Hermes and Elise Hermes; his stepdaughter Florencia Scagliotti; and his grandchildren, Andrea Long, Anastasia Hermes, Sarah Hermes, John S Hermes, Abraham Hermes, Grace Hermes, Noah Hermes of Boor, Alex Hermes, Vincent Hermes, Nicholas Hermes, Michael Hermes, Lily Hermes and Ariel Ward.
