John Byron Meeks Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of John Byron Meeks (Leawood, Kansas), born in Fort Scott, Kansas, who passed away on March 14, 2021 at the age of 80. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, John Burgess Meeks and Jane Meeks (Lyons); his brother Joseph Meeks; his wife Nancy; his sons, Rowdy and Roblin; his daughters-in-law, Tiffany Melton Meeks, Yen Chu and Tamara Putnam; and his grandchildren, Zane, Marcus, Dylan and Quynh Meeks. He was also cherished by extended family, with his eight aunts and uncles as his sisters and brothers.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be sent to the University of Kansas Alzheimer's Disease Center to support advances in Alzheimer's research and treatment.
