He was predeceased by: his parents, Eva Robinson (Buran) and Carl L. Robinson; his stepmother Frances Robinson (Anderson); and his siblings, Keith Robinson (Lois Robinson), Janet Robinson and Joyce Robinson.

He is survived by: his wife Barbara Robinson; his son Lee J. Robinson; his granddaughter Mia Shipman; and his brother John Robinson (late Charlene Robinson).
