She was predeceased by: her parents, Nicholas Thelen and Anna Thelen (Opitz); her son Doug; her siblings, Vernon, Leroy Thelen and Genevieve Bauer; her siblings-in-law, Arlyss Thelen and Andrew Bauer; and her granddaughters, Lindsay Johnson and Jennifer Johnson.
She is survived by: her sons, Greg Johnson (Sue) of Golden, CO and Jeff Johnson (Susan); her grandchildren, Ryan Johnson, Mariana Johnson and Jacqueline Johnson; and her daughter-in-law Kum Sun Johnson of Tacoma, WA. She is also survived by one niece, several nephews and cousins.
Celebrating the Life of Bernice: Due to the Coronavirus Pandemic, A Private Family Graveside Service will be held on Tuesday, November 17, 2020, at 3:00 pm at St. Agnes Catholic Cemetery, Kenmare, ND. The family requests those attending to wear masks and social distance.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to St. Agnes Catholic Church in Kenmare.
