He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Atwater and Eloise Atwater (Geiman); his wife Charlotte Erritt; and his son Brent Douglas Atwater. He is survived by: his sister Judy Trostle (Ronald) of Littleton; and his sisters-in-law, Nancy Nielsen (Clifton) of New Hampton and Susan Hoover (Stanley) of Plattsburg. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
