She was predeceased by: her parents, Lester Bryan and Mildred Bryan (Stoner); and her husband Alvin Eugene Melton. She is survived by: her children, Sandra Lightfoot (David) of Leavenworth, Lori Petesch (Bob) of Lansing, Kan. and Alan Wayne Melton (Debbie) of Lancaster, Kan.; her grandchildren, Susan Martins, David Alan, Brian Christopher Melton and Kyle Petesch; and her great grandchildren, William David Gossett, Talon Powell, Cole Melton and Camryn Melton.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, January 15th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the R. L. Leintz Funeral Home (4701 10th Ave, Leavenworth, KS 66048). A graveside service was held on Wednesday, January 15th 2025 at 12:30 PM at the Leavenworth National Cemetery (150 Muncie Rd, Leavenworth, KS 66048).
