She was predeceased by: her parents, Edwin John Jessen and Anna Marie Jessen (Busse); and her former husband Paul Richard Goebel. She is survived by: her siblings, James Jessen of Independence, Maureen Awbrey of Louisville, Kathryn Moore of State Center and Carolyn Brimmer of Waleska, Georgia.; the father of her children Andrew William Komarchuk; her daughter Naomi Ruth Matthys (late Timothy Ray Matthys); her grandchildren, Hillary Noelle Matthys Walker and JoshuaJoel Matthys; her great grandchildren, James Judson Walker, Michael Ray Walker, Timothy Beckett Matthys and Lucas Campbell Matthys; her children, Nichole Epperhart, Janet, Seth Goebel, Joseph Goebel and Samantha Goebel; her great great grandchild Layla Goebel; her children, Austin Goebel, Grant Goebel and Maisy Goebel; her stepgreat-grandchildren, Madison Frost and Savannah Frost; her husband Scott Smith; her great grandchildren, Jackson Daniel Sims, Gavin Jacob Sims and Logan Alexander Fisher Cruz; and also Ross Hargiss. She is also survived by her four daughters, ten living of eleven grandchildren and step-grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the St. Paul Lutheran School Foundation.
