He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Elmer Guy Mires and Mary Mildred Mires (Ross); his son Alex; his siblings, Richard L Mires and Alice Jean Birkenholtz of Nodaway County, MO.; his children, Sharla Vandruff (Brian) of Topeka, Phillip Mires of Easton, Susan Collins (Ron) of Easton, Stacy Rycheck (Kevin) of Garnett, KS and Shelly Mires of Kansas City, MO.; his grandchildren, Duncan, Bryan, Jenna Rycheck, Victor Collins and Laura Vandruff; his sisters, Marcella Hayes (Don) of Indianola and Mary Stanton of Maryville, MO; and his sister-in-law Sandra Mires. He was also cherished by nieces, nephews and cousins.
