Valentina Bermudez Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Valentina Bermudez of Lawrence, Kansas, who passed away on June 23, 2023, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Manuel Mendoza and Mary Mendoza (Jaimez); her siblings, Rose Carmona, Richard Mendoza, Antonio Mendoza, Reuben Mendoza, Luis Mendoza and Robert Mendoza; and her grandson Ryan Matthew Romero.
She is survived by: her husband Israel Bermudez; her daughters, Julie Lassen (Robert) of McLouth, Rebecca James (Dale) of Lawrence, Lucinda Bermudez (Dean Ohman) of Lawrence, Tonya Rials (Clark) of Baldwin City and Stephanie Freeman (Steve) of Lecompton; and her sisters, Isabel Vargas, Ernestina Guerrero, Jenny Mendoza, Esperanza Mendoza, Gloria Ming, Maria Ming, Rita Melendez and Anita Coyote. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
Memorial contributions may be made in Corina's name to Lawrence Humane Society or to VNA Hospice and may be sent in care of Warren-McElwain Mortuary, 120 W. 13th Street, Lawrence, KS 66044.
