With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Sara Lee (Gilbert) Woods (Lawrence, Kansas), born in Arkansas City, Kansas, who passed away on December 26, 2021 at the age of 87. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Clinton Gilbert and Georgia Lee Gilbert (Campbell); and her husband William Lane. She is survived by: her brother Stanley; her children, Cynthia Kim (David) of Connecticut and Phil (Cathy) of Lawrence; her grandsons, Ryan (Elizabeth) of North Carolina, William Scott (Alexandra) of New Jersey, Tyler (Ashley) of Olathe, KS and Daniel (Lexus) of Topeka, KS; and her sister-in-law Rikki Kipple of Colorado.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Sara's name to LMH Health – Fit for Life or Lawrence Humane Society and may be sent in care of Warren-McElwain Mortuary, 120 W. 13th Street, Lawrence, KS 66044.
