She was predeceased by: her parents, William Kerr and Lorene Ruth Kerr (Ditch). She is survived by: her children, David Lahman and Sandi Meo of Shawnee, KS; her grandchildren, Erilynn Meo, Brock Meo, Jay Meo and Anissah Meo; and her brother Frank Kerr.

Memorial contributions may be made in Ruth's name to the Shawnee Gardens Nursing and Rehabilitation Activities Fund and may be sent in care of Warren-McElwain Mortuary, 120 W. 13th Street, Lawrence, KS 66044.
