He was predeceased by: his parents, Thurman "Dutch" McDonald and Sue McDonald (Wargo); his wife Sharon; his sister Jean; and his granddaughter Mary Ann Erwin (Mae).
He is survived by: his children, Kimberly Heiman (David), Amy Erwin and Dr. Jimmy McDonald; his grandchildren, Nicholas, Tanner, David, Georgia, Bailee and Aidan; and his brother Robert McDonald (Ann).
