She was predeceased by: her parents, Urban Murphy and Veda Murphy (Lewis); and her brothers, Vachel Murphy and Jerry Murphy. She is survived by: her husband Otto Newton of Wathena; her daughters, Kim (Dan) and Kelli (Kevin); her grandchildren, Joe Gronniger (Lacey), Catie Gronniger and Keaton Breer; her siblings, Marvin Murphy, Mary Johnson (Greg) and Becky Gibson (Miles); and her sisters-in-law, Patricia Williams and Patricia Murphy. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
The family suggests memorial contributions to the First Baptist Church in Lawrence or the Visiting Nurses Association, whose fantastic employees provided excellent support to Rosa Lee and Otto and their daughters the past few months.
