He is survived by: his mother Frances Elaine Miller Wales; his wife HongMei Hu; his children, Mandy (Chris Tinch) of Topeka, Meredith Mazza (Nick) of Shawnee, Kansas and Travis Wales of Baldwin, Kansas; and his siblings, Randy (Leanea) of Mclouth, Merle, Marvin, Martin of Lawrence, Kansas, Brenda Wickham of Yukon, Marsha (Bob Abbott) of Mclouth and Marilyn Howard of Lawrence. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, December 6th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Rumsey-Yost Funeral Home (601 Indiana St, Lawrence, KS 66044). A graveside service was held on Saturday, December 7th 2024 at 3:00 PM at the Underwood Cemetery (14828 US-24, Perry, KS 66073).
