He was predeceased by: his wife Elizabeth Arnold (Griffith); and his parents, Cleda M. Arnold and James B. Arnold Sr.. He is survived by: his brother James B. Arnold Jr. of Prairie Village; his children, Catherine Hilliard (James), Michael Durner (Joan) and Robert E. Arnold Jr. (Amanda); and his grandchildren, Sara Hilliard, Alexandra Hilliard, Michaela Durner, Megan Durner, Jacob Durner, Madison Arnold, Brant Arnold, Claire Arnold and Zachary Arnold.
