He was predeceased by: his parents, Clair L. Casad and Eula Casad (Compton); his wife Sarah McKeighan Casad; his sister Julia Ann Dagenais; his brother-in-law Ralph Dagenais; and his brother Larry.
He is survived by: his brother Charles; his children, Ben, Joe, Robert and Madeleine (Mickey); his grandchildren, Xander, Mattie, Aliya, Bridget and Aidan; his great grandchildren, James and Scarlett; and also, Susan Rieger, Jefferson Cowie, Diane Powell, Rebekah Casad, Chris Denton and Lukas Larsson. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends.
