He was predeceased by: his parents, George E. Tennyson and Caroline Tennyson (Gunn); his former wife Bonnie; his daughter Shelly Dyers; and his sister Gayle Tennyson.
He is survived by: his wife Vicki Tennyson; his children, Sunday Martin, Traci McWaters (Andrew), Keri Tennyson and Michael L. Tennyson Jr. (Beth Lee); his stepsons, Adam Mitchell, Chase Ownby, William Robinson and David Robinson; and his sister Lea Lyons (John). He is also survived by fourteen grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, and one great great-grandchild.
