Merlin B. Halverson Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Merlin B. Halverson in Lawrence, Kansas, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on May 6, 2024. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the vast expanse of eternity, Merlin shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Merlin farewell, his loved ones carry with them the precious gift of his memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald Halverson and Alice Halverson. He is survived by: his wife Judy; his children, Lorann Halverson (Mike Hand) and Eric Halverson (Jill); and his siblings, Helen Beneke (Don), Dee Maupins (Dean), Robert Halverson and Donnie Halverson (Chipper). He is also survived by many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Good Shephard Lutheran Church or Wounded Warrior Project and may be sent in care of Warren-McElwain Mortuary, 120 W. 13th Street, Lawrence, KS 66044.
