It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Melanie Renee Hirt in Lawrence, Kansas, born in Emporia, Kansas, who passed away on September 9, 2023, at the age of 41, leaving to mourn family and friends. She is survived by: her husband Eric Hirt; her sons, Carter, Cade Privat and Jackson Hirt; her parents, Sid Morgan and Katrina Morgan; and her brothers, Brian Morgan (Stephanie) and Mark Morgan (Katherine). She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
