With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Mayris Lue Reed of Lawrence, Kansas, born in Kansas City, Missouri, who passed away on July 12, 2022 at the age of 76. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Michael Buford and Vivian Maxine Cox; and her brother Alan Cox. She is survived by: her husband Ed Reed; her children, Jared Arnold (Mona), Julie Arnold (Marcus Ritze), Sherri Guthrie (Aron), Melissa Beavins, Brian Watson, Donald Reed (Caitlin) and Eddy Watson; her brother Michael Cox; her grandchildren, Finn, Wyatt, Gray, JLilly, Delaney of Desiree, A. J., Isabella, Kylan, Andrew, Raymond, Gabrielle, Arianna, Glorian and Grayson; and her great grandchild Atlas.
Memorial contributions may be made in Mayris's name to St. Jude's Children Research Hospital and may be sent in care of Warren-McElwain Mortuary, 120 W. 13th Street, Lawrence, KS 66044.
