It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mark Alan Johnson of Lawrence, Kansas, born in Topeka, Kansas, who passed away on October 30, 2023, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Rose Marie Johnson (Nelson) and Lloyd Johnson; his brother Stanton Lloyd Johnson; his parents-in-law, Buford and Gertrude McIver; and his brother-in-law James Scott McIver.
He is survived by: his wife Kristine Louise McIver; his children, Chelsea Johnson Bagwell (Stephen) of Lawrence, KS and Elliott Johnson (Kathryn) of Roeland Park, KS; his grandchildren, Zelie Johnson, Magdalene Johnson and Mack Bagwell; his sister Anita Epps (Robert) of Topeka, KS; and his siblings-in-law, Kathleen Blackburn of Lawrence, KS, Kathryn McIver of Fresno, CA, Kelie McIver of Los Angeles, CA and Brian McIver (Julie) of Overland Park, KS. He is also survived by ten nieces and nephews, and fifteen great-nieces and nephews.
