He was predeceased by: his parents, Marcus Frederick and Margaret Helen Richardson (Heinzman); his former wife Juelene Bess; his daughter Juelie Anne Hermann; his parents-in-law, Juel, Lucy Bess, Alvin and Marjorie Auseth; his sister Beverly Kay Gibson (Hoot); and his siblings-in-law, Jim Shores, Luella Carroll (Charles) and Duane Auseth.
He is survived by: his wife Sharyl Martin (Auseth); his sons, John Richardson (Sheila), Ken Richardson (Jennifer), Jeffrey Martin (Patricia) and Matthew Martin (Ricki); his sister Patricia Sue Shores; his grandchildren, Marcus Richardson (Sophie), Lauren Richardson, Emily Romanoski (A. J.), Carly Richardson, Abbigail Richardson, Reese Richardson, Seth Martin, Tyler Martin, Joshua Martin and Adriana Martin; his brother-in-law Daryl Auseth (Carolyn); and his extended family, Darwin and Melissa Opdahl.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, January 15th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Boulger Funeral Home (123 10th St S, Fargo, ND 58103). A memorial service was held on Wednesday, January 15th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
He was proud of his contributions to expanding the capacity of ACSC's five factories. Over 38 years in the sugar industry, he served as president of the Beet Sugar Development Foundation and trustee on the ASSBT board, frequently advocating for ACSC in Washington, D.C.
