He is survived by: his parents, Robin Burgess and John Carland; his stepfather Don Barber; his daughter Jackie Carland; his close friend Junes Robinson; his sisters, Amy Jackson, Lea Roselyn and Maura Mitterbauer; and his brothers-in-law, Erskine Jackson, Michael Mitterbauer (Rose Jackson), Delano Jackson, Elijah Jackson, Juniper Jackson, River Jackson, Will Roselyn, Jackson Mitterbauer and Forrest Mitterbauer (Isabel Mitterbauer).
A burial service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Monday, March 10, 2025 in the Natural Burial area at Oak Hill Cemetery at 1605 Oak Hill Ave, Lawrence, KS 66044. The family has made a GoFundMe to help with the burial expenses. Contributions would be graciously accepted at http://www.gofundme.com.
