He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Herndon and Margurite Herndon; his daughters, Lori Hawkins, Linda Ashburn and Jill Koftan; his siblings, Henry Herndon and Gail Beasley; and his great grandchild Mason Shaw.
He is survived by: his wife Patricia Herndon. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; one brother; two sisters.
