She was predeceased by: her parents, James G. Wood and Pearl M. Wood (Cox); and her husband Ralph George Henley (R. G.). She is survived by: her children, Elizabeth H. Henley of Lawrence, Katherine Arensdorf (Jerry) of Colby, KS, Victoria Henley of Lawrence, KS, Margaret Henley of Lawrence, KS and Richard Henley of Lawrence, KS; her grandchildren, Amanda Henley, Crystal Henley, Kristen Arensdorf, Ryan Arensdorf and Devereux Henley; and her great grandchildren, Rocky, Riley, Alacia and Josephine. She is also survived by her children's friends.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials in Joy's name to the Trinity Interfaith Food Pantry (TIFP) and may be sent in care of Warren-McElwain Mortuary, 120 W. 13th Street, Lawrence, KS 66044.
