John Thomas Stewart III Obituary

We are sad to announce that on December 6, 2024, at the age of 88, John Thomas Stewart III of Lawrence, Kansas passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, John T. Stewart, Jr. and Ruth Jassoy Stewart; his grandparents, Herman, Louise Jassoy and John; and his great grandchild Wellington Stewart Fritzel.

He is survived by: his family, Scott, Deric and Dru; his wife Linda Bliss Stewart; his children, John T. IV, Scott Stewart, Deric Stewart (Mindy) and Dru Fritzel (Thomas); and his pet Sally. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Friday, December 13th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Wellington Methodist Church (202 W Harvey Ave, Wellington, KS 67152). A burial was held on Friday, December 13th 2024 at the Prairie Lawn Cemetery (1422 E Harvey Ave, Wellington, KS 67152). A reception was held on Saturday, December 21st 2024 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Jayhawk Club (1809 Birdie Wy, Lawrence, KS 66047).
