We are sad to announce that on March 9, 2023, at the age of 100, Jean E. Stokes of Lawrence, Kansas, born in San Francisco, California passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry Strout and Ruby Strout; her husband James A Stokes Jr.; and her sister Helene Dunbar. She is survived by: her children, James A Stokes III (Jackie) of Collierville, TN and Susan Koelling of Wichita; her grandchildren, Lesli Storm (Matt) of Geneseo, IL, Adam Stokes (Andrea) of Skokie, IL, Heather Lewis (Brian) and Jason Koelling; her great grandchildren, Bethany Hughes (Austin) of Epworth, IA, Dana Storm (Ian) of Geneseo, Nicholas Stokes of Marion, IL, Alexander, Olivia Lewis of Wichita, Keelan and William Stokes of Skokie, IL.; and her great great grandchildren, Hattie James and Caroline Mae Hughes.
