It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Janie C. (Schaake) Harris (Lawrence, Kansas), who passed away on March 14, 2022, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Schaake and Isabelle Schaake; her brother Dwane; and her sister-in-law Dorothy Schaake. She is survived by: her husband John; her daughter Jan; her son-in-law Tim Matlack; her grandchildren, Johnathan Matlack and Kelly Mayer (Adam); and her great grandchild Adalee Joy Mayer. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Janie's name to the Good Samaritan Fund at Presbyterian Manor, or to a charity of donor's choice and may be sent in care of Warren-McElwain Mortuary, 120 W. 13th Street, Lawrence, KS 66044.
