She was predeceased by: her parents, Elton Schmidt and Elizabeth'Marie' Schmidt (Potter). She is survived by: her husband Darrell Schmidt; her sons, Garrett Schmidt (Misty) and Michael Schmidt; her grandchildren, Julia Schmidt, Colin Schmidt and Blake Schmidt; and her siblings, Judy Schmidt Toms (Bill), Janet Schmidt Coleman (Roger), John Schmidt (Patsy), Jim Schmidt (Katherine), Jack Schmidt (Diane) and Tammy Turner Bruegger (Dan). She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life was held on Friday, December 20th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the River City Church (700 Wakarusa Dr, Lawrence, KS 66049).
