We are sad to announce that on January 28, 2024, at the age of 83, Jackie Harold LaRue of Lawrence, Kansas, born in Burlington, Kansas passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold LaRue and Evelyn LaRue (Keith); and his siblings, Robert LaRue, Renee Hall, Lila Liggett and Glenda Breese.
He is survived by: his sons, Jamie Lee LaRue (Connie), Randall Bart LaRue (Trish) and Tighe Wayne LaRue (Margaret); his siblings, Glen LaRue (Sandi), Joan Herschell (Sonny) and Violet Anderson; his sister-in-law Sandy LaRue; his grandchildren, Steve LaRue (Kenna), Brett LaRue (Oksana), Jeremy LaRue (Christina), Josh LaRue, Brooke LaRue (Alex Chadwick), Taylor LaRue (Anish Patel), Catherine LaRue and Nick LaRue; and his great grandchildren, Jon LaRue, Jack LaRue, Jace LaRue, AJ LaRue and Natalie Shultz. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
The family has asked that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made in Jack's name to Kansas Big Brothers Big Sisters serving Douglas County. Donations can also be sent in care of Warren-McElwain Mortuary, 120 W. 13th Street, Lawrence, Kansas 66044.
