Hobart O. Woody Jr. Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Hobart O. Woody Jr. of Lawrence, Kansas, who passed away on October 2, 2024 at the age of 77. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the soft embrace of remembrance, we recall the profound impact Hobart had on those he encountered along his journey. Though Hobart may have slipped beyond the veil of mortality, his essence lingers like a faint fragrance in the air, a lingering reminder of the beauty and complexity of the human experience.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Hobart Sr. Woody and Minnie Woody (Hughes); his daughter Kenya Wilson; his sister Beth Anne Woody; and his granddaughter Denaya Viney.
He is survived by: his children, Kim Andrews, Charlie Woody and Casey Coleman; and his brother Gordy Woody. He is also survived by ten grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and a host of extended family.
