Gilbert M. Harris Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gilbert M. Harris of Lawrence, Kansas, born in Marquette, Kansas, who passed away on February 11, 2023, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Dale Harris and Iola Harris (Hall); his siblings, Dwight, Galen, Phyllis Johnson and Joyce Buffington; and his grandson Jake Best.
He is survived by: his wife Gerda (Anderson); and his children, Tracey Stout (Phil) of Fort Collins, CO, Trudy Harris of Overland Park, KS and Troy Harris (Sarah) of LaSalle Ontario. He is also survived by wife, his three children and their spouses, nine grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Marquette American Legion or St. Jude Children's Hospital and may be sent in care of Warren-McElwain Mortuary 120 W. 13th St. Lawrence, KS 66044. Warren-McElwain provides a full range of services including burial, cremation in our own crematory, entombment, or body donation.
