George Edward Martin Obituary
We are sad to announce that on October 12, 2022, at the age of 94, George Edward Martin of Lawrence, Kansas, born in Argonia, Kansas passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Ellis J. Martin and Melda Shuster Martin; his wife Dawna Ruth McQuirk; and his siblings, Melda Martin and Dr. Marion Martin.
He is survived by: his son Scot (Lida); his grandchild Kayvon of Scottsdale; his son Michael (Toni); his granddaughter Michaela of Lawrence; and his siblings-in-law, Virginia Martin of McPherson, Patricia Walters of Ponca City and Brent (LouWayne McQuirk) of Arlington. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials in George's name to the Central United Methodist Church or the American Diabetes Association and may be sent in care of Warren-McElwain Mortuary, 120 W. 13th Street, Lawrence, KS 66044. Warren-McElwain provides a full range of services including burial, cremation in our own crematory, entombment, or body donation.
