She was predeceased by: her parents, Edward O. Smith and Emma Margaret Brokman Smith; her daughter Dotti Seele; her sons-in-law, Sonny Sieber, Dale Seale and Brad Grant; and her grandsons, Bobbie Owens and Connor Omara.
She is survived by: her husband George Albert Staus; her daughters, Jeannie Alley of Lawrence and Linda Grant of Lawrence; and her siblings, Edward Smith and Ella Anderson. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, 5 great great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
