She was predeceased by: her parents, Edwin F. Abels and Marie Abels (Robinson); and her daughter-in-law Peggy Hazlett. She is survived by: her sons, Allan A. Hazlett and Stan A. Hazlett; and her grandchildren, Christopher Hazlett, Rob Hazlett, Ryan Hazlett, Jessica Wood, Jocelyn Gunter and Elizabeth Boschma. She is also survived by ten great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild.
