He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Jesse James and Fern Schultz Carney; his former wife Anita Marz; his daughter Monique McDonald; his grandson Eli; and his siblings, Stella Lockard, Jo Anne Connell and Jesse "Buster" Carney.
Memorial contributions may be made to the University of Iowa College of Education and sent in care of Warren-McElwain Mortuary in Lawrence. Warren-McElwain provides a full range of services including burial, cremation in our own crematory, entombment, or body donation.
