With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Donald J. Minnis of Lawrence, Kansas, born in Atchison, Kansas, who passed away on March 9, 2023 at the age of 75. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Dee Alexander and Kathryn Patricia Minnis (McGinnis); his brother Dee Alexander Minnis (Jenny); and his brother-in-law Roc Biffinger. He is survived by: his wife Virginia Stanley; his sons, Oliver Minnis (Katie) and Morgan Minnis (Heidi); his siblings, Michael Minnis (Debbie), Jane Biffinger, Judy Proffitt (Roger) and Joyce Nolan (Dan); and his grandchildren, Elizabeth Minnis and Hugh Minnis. He is also survived by many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
