David D. Metsker Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of David D. Metsker of Lawrence, Kansas, who passed away on October 9, 2022. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John Phillip and Bettie-Lou Metsker; his sister Barbera Ellen; and his father-in-law Richard Stanwix. He is survived by: his wife Julie LuAnn Stanwix; his children, David (Erin) and Marla Metsker (Lawrence); his grandchildren, Grant (Madison), Jarett Phillips, Austin Phillips and Grace Metsker; his siblings, Andy (Deb), Phillip (Debbie), Margaret Kalb (Kermit) and Merry Metsker; and his mother-in-law Verna Stanwix (Lawrence). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to the Lone Star Church of the Brethren, or Douglas County 4-H Foundation to establish the David Metsker Pork Producers Scholarship Fund, in care of Rumsey-Yost Funeral Home, 601 Indiana St., Lawrence, KS, 66044.
