He was predeceased by: his parents, Alvin A. Haverty and Dalphine M. Haverty; and his brothers, J. R. Haverty and Alvin Haverty (Beebe). He is survived by: his wife Barbara Wurth of Independence, MO; his children, Matt Leawood and Susan Eck Lenexa (Doug); and his grandchildren, Madison Haverty-Hassig Denver (Nick), Luke Haverty of New York, Kyle Haverty Dallas and Austin Eck Denver (Lexie).
A memorial service was held on Saturday, November 9th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Trinity Episcopal Church (1011 Vermont St, Lawrence, KS 66044).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Trinity Episcopal Church and may be sent in care of Warren-McElwain Mortuary, 120 W. 13th Street, Lawrence, KS 66044.
