Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Carol Maxine Sander of Lawrence, Kansas, born in Arapahoe, Nebraska, who passed away at the age of 91, on September 20, 2024. She was predeceased by: her parents, Glenn Koons and Hallie Koons; and her sister Mary Sue. She is survived by: her children, Tonja Sowder (Monty), Rebecca Tompkins (Mark), Rockney Sander (Jennifer) and Charles Sander (Kristina); her brother Rev. Jim Koons (Linda); and her grandchildren, Erin Falk (Nathan), Emily Sowder (Brian Leabo), Kore Thakker (Aaron), Veronica Stiles (Brian), Hayley Tompkins (Andrew Gillespie), Hunter Tompkins (Kamla Phengsy), Hudson Tompkins, Trisha Willis (Dave), Steven Sander (Mattie), Jaina Brannan, Quinn Harouff and Savannah Horn (Chase). She is also survived by numerous great-grandchildren.
