He was predeceased by: his parents, William "Stub" Taylor and Erva Taylor; his siblings, Fay Taylor, Alice Mason, Blanche Lowe, Vera Shurtz, Betty Hamblin, Rita Taylor, Dale Taylor, Garland Taylor, Carl Taylor, Darroll Taylor, Roy Taylor and Ray Taylor; and his stepson Vance Carey.
He is survived by: his wife Dianna Carey; his children, Jeff Taylor (Darla) of Topeka, Buddy Taylor, Jr. (Beth Martinez) of Ozawkie and Martha "Marti" Clark (Chris Wichman) of Topeka; his stepson Bret Carey (Nicole) of Pomona; his stepdaughter-in-law Stacey Carey of Ottawa; and his siblings, Ralph Taylor of Ottawa and Wanda Lynch of Cincinnati, Ohio. He is also survived by ten grandchildren; and fifteen great grandchildren.
