It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Beverly Laurine Cates of Lawrence, Kansas, who passed away on November 8, 2023, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Isaac Milton and Jessie Aileen Kring (Truex); her husband Richard Owen Cates; her daughter Connie Lewis; and her siblings, Dale Kring, Emmett "Mutt" Kring, James "Jiggs" Kring, Lynette Martin and Elizabeth "Beth" Shuck.
She is survived by: her children, Janice White (Robert) and Rick Cates (Emily); her son-in-law Bob Lewis; her grandchildren, Brandon (Lisa), Kristina, Larissa (Brent), Brad (Miranda), Chris (Josha), Robert, Owen and Jessica (Jack); and her great grandchildren, Brianna (Sam), Matt (Kaylyn), Conner, Regan, Lilly, Alexis, Harper, Jackie and Jackson.
