Though Ava Lauretta may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Ava Lauretta touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Mabel Elsie (Cram) and Joy Stephen Bromwich; her husband Bob; and her daughter Laura. She is survived by: her children, Joyce Jordan (Dean) of Lawrence and Paul Hastert (Laura) of Houston. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
Ava did not want to designate a specific charity, but memorial contributions could be made to the medical or education related organization of your choice, or, to the Douglas County Visiting Nurses Association, and may be sent in care of Warren-McElwain Mortuary; 120 W 13th Street, Lawrence, KS 66044.
