With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Alex Matthew Staton (Lawrence, Kansas), born in Salina, Kansas, who passed away on June 10, 2022 at the age of 30. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Buddie, Wanda Staton, Leo, Genrose O'Halloran, Charles and Martha Nell Kingry.

He is survived by: his parents, Clayton Staton and Fran Staton; his wife Bethany Eden Olson; his siblings, Becky Commerford (Rick), Joseph Kingry-Staton (Megan) and Katherine Stoltenberg (Charles); his nieces and nephews, Charlie, Jett, Elise, River and Vivian; his parents-in-law, David and Linda Olson; and also, James Olson (Katie), Ben Olson (Alison), Kent Olson, Luke, Hannah, Elizabeth, Rebekah, Sarah, Matilynn, Lexi, Grant and Emmett Olson.

Memorial contributions may be made in Alex's name to NuHope Services and may be sent in care of Warren-McElwain Mortuary, 120 W. 13th St. Lawrence, KS 66044.
