The passing of William Dean Fairchild of Larned, Kansas leaves a void in the hearts of many, as we bid farewell to a loving soul who departed on November 21, 2024 at the age of 88. He was predeceased by: his parents, William Frederick and Bertha Dugger Fairchild; his former wife Caroline Clawson; and his sisters, Betty Jean Fairchild, Norma Lee Fairchild and Alice Joan Strobel.
He is survived by: his children, William Richard Fairchild (Karen), Brian Dean Fairchild (Milica), Debra Batchman (Richard) of Marionville, MO, Kathy Sharp (Cecil) and Rhonda Glenn (Jerry); his stepchildren, Melanie Bolinger (Clay), Shawnee and Jonathan Trackwell; and his sisters, Carol May Beaudion of Kallispell, MT, Fayetteville and Brenda Sue Barker. He is also survived by seventeen grandchildren, thirty eight great grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 26th 2024 from 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM at the Beckwith Mortuary (916 Main St, Larned, KS 67550-2533). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, November 27th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the First Christian Church (716 Broadway St, Larned, KS 67550).
Memorials may be given to Leader Dog, First Christian Church (DOC) Great Bend or Ft Larned Foundation for Education, all in care of Beckwith Mortuary, PO.
