He was predeceased by: his father Emede Garza; and his brother Gilberto Garza. He is survived by: his mother Odilia DeLaCruz of San Antonio, TX; his wife Elida Peña; his children, Tomas Garza Jr. (Samantha) of Converse, TX and Angel Mia Garza of Converse, TX; his brothers, Enrique Garza (Lori) of San Antonio, TX, Arturo Garza of San Antonio, TX, Joe Vargas of San Antonio, TX and Roberto Garza of San Antonio, TX; and his granddaughter Mia Elida Garza.

Memorials may be given to the Mia Garza Education Fund in care of Beckwith Mortuary, Box 477 Larned, KS 67550.
