He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Donald B. Mayhew and Betty E. Mayhew (Muir); his daughters, Sandra Fankhauser (David) of Sterling, KS. and Taryn Mayhew of Colwich, KS; his sisters, Janice Westphal of Galva, KS. and Becky Lyman (Marc) of Hutchinson, KS; his son Todd Mayhew; and his brother-in-law Dennis Westphal. He was also cherished by 4 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
