He was predeceased by: his parents, Melvin Kasselman and Dora Kasselman (Flanders); his spouse Andra Roohms; and his siblings, Ruth Steffen, Linda Parr, Harlan and Robert.

He is survived by: his daughter Gina Smyth (Russell); and his grandson Aidan of Larned, Kansas..

A memorial service was held on Saturday, April 12th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Minnis Chapel (526 E 4th Ave, St John, KS 67576).
